My apologies if you see this more than once…
“They (RFID suppliers) are still seeing local authorities as a cash cow.”
“I'm still waiting for the next level innovative use of RFID technology.”
“SIP2 constraints are proving a real headache and mean we're providing a 2nd rate service to our RFID branch users.”
“We're keen to see what opportunities that the combination of NFC & our new web-based LMS can offer us (but) neither our RFID provider nor our LMS provider have as yet laid out any ready-to-go plans.”
Just some of the comments that have caught my eye so far from this year’s RFID survey. Over 200 librarians have already replied – including 66 from the UK and 53 from Australia. Despite the comments above most seem reasonably content with both the level of service and innovation they receive from suppliers.
Whatever your views I’d be pleased to hear them.
There are 21 days still left to comment at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LibRFID .
Thanks for your time.
