JOB DESCRIPTION
The Library, ICT Services & Archive Department (LISA) supports more than 10.000 students and 3.300 employees of the University of Twente.
LISA believes it is important to embed Library support as much as possible in education and research processes.
Within the Embedded Information Services (EIS) department, the information specialists work within the faculties where they carry out account management for the University Library and draw innovations in the field of scientific information provision.
To strenghten our services within the faculties for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) and Behavioural, Management and Social sciences (BMS) there are currently two vacancies for: Junior Information specialist (24 hours a week).
As part of the Embedded Information Services (EIS) department of LISA, you work as a junior information specialist.
- You support the information specialists of either the faculty BMS or the faculty ITC with the development and execution of information literacy programs within the educational programs of the faculties.
- You support the information specialists of BMS or ITC in the field of scientific information provision for the education and research processes of the faculties.
- You provide personal support to staff and students in the use and processing of scientific information.
- You support researchers and groups in the faculties in areas such as Open Science / Open Access, visibility and research impact.
- You participate in LISA-EIS projects.
YOUR PROFILE
You have a master degree, preferably in one of the disciplines of the BMS or ITC faculty. Experience with developing and providing education is an advantage. You are result-oriented. You can work independently as well as in a team and you have excellent written and oral command of the English language. Finally, you have initiative, you have excellent social and communication skills, and coordination with and feedback to colleagues and clients is a matter of course.

De Dienst Library, ICT Support & Archive (LISA) verzorgt de Bibliotheek-, ICT- en Archiefondersteuning voor meer dan 10.000 studenten en 3300 medewerkers van de Universiteit Twente.
LISA vindt het belangrijk de ondersteuning op basis van wetenschappelijke expertise zoveel mogelijk in te bedden in de onderwijs en onderzoeksprocessen.
Binnen de afdeling Embedded Information Services (EIS) zijn de informatiespecialisten daarom geplaatst bij de faculteiten en voeren voor de Universiteitsbibliotheek het accountmanagement en trekken innovaties op het gebied van de wetenschappelijke informatievoorziening. Voor het versterken van de (onderwijs)dienstverlening binnen de faculteiten Behavioural, Management and Social Sciences (BMS) en Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) bestaan momenteel 2 vacatures voor Junior Informatiespecialist (24 uur per week).
Binnen de afdeling Embedded Information Services (EIS) van LISA werkt u als junior informatiespecialist.
- U ondersteunt de informatiespecialisten van de faculteit BMS of ITC bij de ontwikkeling en uitvoering van het onderwijs informatievaardigheden en aanverwante gebieden.
- U ondersteunt de informatiespecialist van BMS of ITC op het gebied van wetenschappelijke informatievoorziening voor het onderwijs en onderzoek van de UT.
- U geeft persoonlijke ondersteuning aan medewerkers en studenten in het gebruik en bewerken van wetenschappelijke informatie.
- U ondersteunt onderzoekers of groepen in de faculteit op het gebied van bijvoorbeeld Open Science/Open Access, zichtbaarheid en research impact.
- U participeert in projecten van LISA-EIS.
PROFIEL
U beschikt over een academische opleiding bij voorkeur in één van de disciplines van de faculteiten BMS of ITC. Ervaring met het ontwikkelen en verzorgen van onderwijs is een pre. U bent resultaatgericht. U kunt zowel zelfstandig als in teamverband werken en u heeft een uitstekende schriftelijke en mondelinge beheersing van de Engelse taal. Tenslotte bent u initiatiefrijk, beschikt u over uitstekende sociale en communicatieve vaardigheden en is voor u afstemming met en terugkoppeling naar collega's en klanten een vanzelfsprekendheid.

ONS AANBOD
U kunt rekenen op een interessante baan in een interdisciplinaire werkomgeving. Wij bieden u een dienstverband voor één jaar tijd, met uitzicht op verlenging. Uw salaris bedraagt afhankelijk van opleiding en ervaring maximaal € 4.274,-- bruto per maand (schaal 10) bij een voltijds dienstverband.
