The conference "Morsels of Knowledge" will take place in Brussels on 20-21 June 2019 in conjunction with the inaugural meeting of the International Society for Knowledge Organization (ISKO) Low Countries Chapter (www.isko-lc.org).
The keynote speaker is Prof. Birger Hjorland from the Royal School of Library and Information Science in Copenhagen.
Presentations are invited on all aspects of application of information & knowledge organization in the digital and web environment, focus being the practice and experience in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
With respect to the theoretical aspects we encourage colleagues to consider the following topics.
- latest developments in knowledge organization
- lessons learned in knowledge organization
- next steps for research in knowledge organization
- contemporary views towards accepted knowledge
- elemental units of knowledge (curation, distribution, preservation; change of quality; classification theory and basic units of knowledge)
