ONLINE RESOURCE DEVELOPERS ARE INVITED TO JOIN US
One of the fundamental goals of GreyNet’s LIS Education & Training Committee is to raise awareness of the importance of grey literature as a compliment and supplement to traditional literature searching. Our grey literature community encompasses a wide and diverse range of audiences, including ourselves (librarians and information specialists), those we serve within our institutions (students, faculty, and researchers), and within our various disciplines, as well as the broader research community that may turn to us for assistance. Over the past few years, more and more organizations (whether in the academic or private sectors) are jumping on the grey literature bandwagon and devoting considerable time and resources to creating research guides (or LibGuides as they are often known), as well as online courses and webinars.
The purpose of forming an Information Gathering Group within our LIS Committee is to compile existing research/LibGuides, online courses, and webinars devoted to grey literature worldwide into a living directory. This Directory will become online accessible via the GreyGuide - GreyNet’s web access Portal and Repository, and its content will be updated on a regular basis.
