Uit de advertentie blijkt duidelijk dat je een doctoraal of master studie Engelse taal en cultuur moet hebben. Daarnaast hebben ze graag dat je een bibliotheekopleiding of -ervaring hebt. De kern van de baan is namelijk dat je als vakreferent inhoudelijke kennis hebt van de Engelse taal en cultuur.

Nineteenth International Conference on Grey Literature
‘Public Awareness and Access to Grey Literature’
National Research Council of Italy, 23-24 October 2017 in Rome
Two of the most formidable problems that have faced information through the years are its overload on the one hand and its loss on the other. These are seen as interconnected with the supply and demand sides of grey literature. A quarter century ago, the Grey Literature Network Service joined by research communities in library and information, physics, karst and marine sciences, bio-medicine, nuclear energy, archeology, and many other scientific and technical fields set out to address this loss and overload of information. In 1992, when the call for papers went out for the first conference in the GL-Series, the response was predominantly focused on the demand side of grey literature – that which was difficult to find and even more to access. The emphasis then lie in stemming the loss of grey literature. However, the outcome of that first conference also called attention to the equally important need for further research into the supply side of grey literature – namely its production, publication, and public awareness. GL19 seeks to demonstrate how researchers and authors in the last 25 years have made significant inroads in responding to the loss and overload of grey literature. Likewise, this conference will seek to provide new directions in achieving public awareness and access to grey literature on an ever changing information landscape. Library Services Engineer – Benelux (based in the Netherlands)

The Global Software Services (GSS) team and Library Service Engineers (LSE a.k.a. Sales Engineer, Technology Consultant) are dedicated to increasing sales and adoption of EBSCO technology enabled products internationally through Field Sales Engineering, Customer Satisfaction driven creative technical solutions, Delivering customer input directly into the Software Development Lifecycle, and Technology Partnership management.
The LSE is the primary technical advisor and product advocate for the regional Sales team and most important customers; and responsible for UI customizations and extensions, API integration, and small app development.
Primary Responsibilities
· Regional/market authoritative expert on technology aspects of EBSCO’s Software as a Service (SaaS) platform functionality, competition, trends.
· Conduct pre-sales presentations (to small and large audiences) and clear written responses to Requests for Information (RFI) or related inquiries.
· Create and manage demos, prototypes, and documentation (e.g. app instructions, regular status updates to management).
· Establish strong relationships with Sales & Customer Support teams and customer staff; supporting the evaluation/trial process, initial post-sales support/nurturing, troubleshooting and resolving customer specific advanced technical issues.
· Contribute to the app development process with varying levels of: customer requirements definition, coding, testing, documentation, and management.

Requirements:
· Minimum two (2) years of progressive experience in either System Librarianship, Consulting, Product Management, or related field.
· Minimum two (2) years of experience and excellence in presenting as well as written communication describing details for technology, Internet, or software application products to internal and external audiences and various levels of management.
· Must speak Dutch
· Should be able to speak/read/write German
· Ability to travel approximately 50% to regional and international locations.
Preferred qualifications:
· Four (4) year college/university degree
· Two (2) plus years experience with HTML, JavaScript, React with Redux, Node.js development.
· One (1) plus years experience working with:
o Online research database platforms (e.g. EBSCOhost)
o Integrated Library Systems (ILS e.g. Aleph, Alma, Millennium, Symphony)
o Institutional Repository platforms (e.g. ContentDM, DSpace, Fedora)
o Content Management / Search software (e.g. Sharepoint, Drupal, VuFind)
· Experience programming with APIs, use of a full web application stack (e.g. LAMP), large data file analysis (e.g. MARC, XML), and Agile methodologies
· Ability to multi-task and work independently while maintaining team involvement, organized and detail oriented, strong problem solving and analytical skills
